Job Description:

Experienced machine operator with the ability to run multiple waterjet machines on a continuous basis and can identify and resolve problems during a production run, read drawings, and inspect parts on a daily basis using various types of inspection equipment. Must be able to work efficiently in a team environment that is fast paced with a strong commitment and accountability.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set up and switch jobs as required
  • Load and unload parts
  • Minor machine maintenance
  • Identify process problems and communicate problems
  • Verify all parts are conforming before signing off on traveler
  • Keep track of all scrap
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform miscellaneous duties assigned
  • Function effectively within a team environment
  • Maintain an excellent attendance record
  • Daily communication with co-workers, supervisors, and across shifts

 

Requirements:

  • Must have previous machine operator experience or education/training in machining with 2+ years preferred
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Be able to write and document information clearly
  • Must have a general understanding of ISO and its process within the company
  • Must be able to run parts to spec on a daily basis on multiple machines
  • Must be able to read part drawings
  • Must be able to use and read micrometers and calipers accurately
  • Must be able to calculate dimensions and tolerances
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English
  • Perform any other task as needed by the company
  • Experience with conventional milling, grinding, and turning is a plus

 

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • While performing the duties the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and communicate.
  • The employee must frequently lift or move up to 35 pounds.
